Buenos Aires Grill is the first Argentinean Restaurant in Ireland. Situated on Golden Lane, this beautifully designed new restaurant is beside the Radisson, just a stones throw from Georges Street in the heart of Dublin 2. The space inside is striking, - just inside the door is a black, lacquered curved bar. The male staff are all dressed in smart sits, while the waitresses are in cool black. The floors are polished cream marble and crystal mosaic tiles decorate the walls. The kitchen is visible through what for all the world looks like a pair of scarlet lips and the whole effect is expensive chic.
In this new version or reality, where value for money has replaced conspicuous consumption as the as the tone of the nation, they really have got the menu right here too. There are several starters around €7, while two of the main courses come in under a tenner as well. The mainstay of any Argentine restaurant is of course the grill. All their meat is imported from Argentina, and the steaks are probably the best in Dublin. We have been hearing good things for a while now, and Paolo has just been, so look out for the full review soon.
